I am not a bad person

I am not a bad person.
But I don't know what a good person is.
Mother Theresa wanted all to suffer.
But I bet she ate pretty well herself.

Suffering does not make you pure.
Suffering makes you hungry.
Suffering is our natural state.
But we can do better. I know I am no saint.

I do not always feed the homeless.
I have no illusions I am altruistic.
But there must be some higher truth
That does not make everything senseless.
