Time

Time is at a premium.
There is no back storage.
We have to squeeze it all in.
There is no second act in life.

Time is everything we can know.
But we don't know it at all.
Time puts us through our paces.
Time ignores suffering,
No matter the races.

Time is a selfish brute.
Time takes all our loot.
Time is unforgiving.
Time just keeps on living.

We are at the mercy of Time.
Deep down we are all sublime.
But Time don't pay no mind.
Time just chucks and jives.

De-evolution

We are all DEVO.
Those spud boys were in the know.
De-evolution is happening now.
And it's already too late.

Technology has made us drones.
We are driven by the machine.
We are less than clones.
Just cogs in an ad man's dream.

The corporations exploit us.
They are the new religion.
And everyone is forgiven.
If you know you are a mindless clone.

I want to transcend reality.
Because what I see I don't believe.
I believe what I can't see, hear, smell, touch.
Reality is much too much.

There is the letter of the law
And there is the spirit of the law.
Both of them have their merits.
Like dangling carrots.

The real problem is we are not consistent.
If the rules apply to all the same,
Then we are in a pretty fair game.
But the ones who hold the cards do not change.

I get frustrated by lack of equal rights.
I get frustrated that the game is rigged.
I get frustrated by unfair fights.
I get frustrated that no one truly gives.

The law is rigged for those privileged.
The law can be bent if you don't have a cent.
The law does not apply to those in power who lie.
The law does not apply to the one percent.

It is an amazing thing to believe.
It is a terrible thing to persecute
Those who do not believe what we believe.
Why do we kill what we don't understand?

Belief is key.You feel me?
There is just too much hate.
What defines us is our resources.
It does not matter if we are white or black horses.

There is no greater evil than the exploiter.
And we American, Christian, White fuckers
Are no better than those others.
Why do we kill what we don't understand?

I am appalled at violence toward strangers.
There is no greater danger
Than hate of your fellow man.
But we all want the best we can.

The real struggle is fighting the exploiter.
Corporations, most nations.
No one seems to not want more.
And the other is who we deplore.

I wanted you to be who I wanted you to be.
I failed to see you are a catastrophe.
I drink way more than you.
But I have more than a clue.

My words are always true.
More than I can say for you.
Wanted to put you on a pedestal.
But you are not that special.

I thought you were my fantasy
But you were not in reality.
You were just excited.
You were ignited.

Because I am a primal force.
And you were going through divorce.
You did not have a clue your skin
Was the space I wanted to live in.

'I love you but I don't like you'
Is a universal language.
It is much easier
To love than it is to like.

Who does not have flaws?
In the entire universe.
We love someone for their imperfectons.
Not the reverse.

Love is remote control.
Like is higher level stuff.
Like is after they left the room,
You still did not get enough.
