I wish I had a co-pilot

I wish i had a co-pilot.
But we're all on our own journey.
Not sure anyone is on my wavelength.
But I don't need anyone to save me.

I can't compromise who I am.
I can't stop being me.

Lots of people want me to follow them.
Lots of people think I'm not that strong.
But most people are what I'm talking about.
Not sure what it means to belong.

I am a hopeless romantic.
God my belief is strong!
If I never ever find her,

We have been Trumped

He thinks everyone against him conspires.
He calls those who challenge him liars.
He does not have integrity.
He does not have convictions.

His desires govern his actions.
His admirers think they'll gain traction.
But he does not care about anything.
And his doorbell is about to ring.

He's the great white hope
Who is a total dope.
He never had to do a lick of work.
When it came to serving his country he had to shirk.

But still he bullies his opponents.
This bull has big cajones.
But use that word and he'll get obstreperous.
Cause he don't like Mexicans.

He wants might to be right.
But his kind of rule is a blight.
He just wants to be king.
But his oath has a hollow ring.

Black and white?

I used to think racism subsided.
When a white dude, a black guy and an Asian guy collided
On my tv screen trying to sell me something I didn't need.
We had this pseudo alliance but some deep shit divides us.

I have to say I am appalled at racism between black and white.
Only in unity can we make it right.
God why is there so much hatred between the races?
That commander in chief really puts us through our paces.

Life is a struggle no doubt.
But why challenge color of skin.
Who is without sin?
If you are worthy give a shout.

The true divider is wealth not skin.
There are those who have alot.
And there are those who are looking in.
There are those with color.
And there are those without.
