They have no clear defense.
They say there is no quid pro quo.
That is a lie. In case you don't know.
They used to say there was though.

They can't get their ducks in a row.
Because EVERYTHING
They say is for show.
 They only want to save his base.
To make him look laudable is a futile case.

The Republicans pretend to give a fuck.

The Republicans are paying lip service.
Lock step with our despot.
They have no purpose.
Unless by 'purpose,' you mean being useful.

By useful I mean to our President. 
Who has no morals but only quarrels.
The Republicans show their hypocrisy.
Their shame has no modesty.

But it is more important than Democrats and Republicans.
If we continue on this path, everyone loses.
So many responsible citizens exposed to pressure.
The senators' indifference impossible to measure.

I am so sick of the Republicans.
Defending Donald Trump.
When the emperor has no clothes.
He has only added to our countries' woes.

We have never had a President.
No, not even Nixon.
Who more flouted the Constitution.
And who had no moral conviction.

As a nation I know we can do better.
Be you Republican or Democrat.
I'm just saying people.
Donald Trump is a filthy rat.

If you believe in him, I do not abide.
For our nation he has increased the divide.
His self-interest is palpable.
His integrity laughable.

In praise of Jimi Hendrix

From now on we should say Jimi Hendrix instead of Jesus Christ.
His is arguably a greater truth than any religion we know.
When we say Jimi Hendrix we can't feel evil.
Sadly when some say Jesus Christ they feel more hate than love.

As far as I can tell Jimi Hendrix is a symbol of hope and faith.
People should study Jimi Hendrix's work like they do the Bible.
Not just his albums but everything you can find.
Jimi Hendrix is authentic. His greatness is well documented.

Jimi Hendrix was on the planet for a short time but his message was love.
I do not mean to compare him to Jesus Christ.
It is Christians that give Jesus Christ a bad name.
Christ's message was love from what little I know.

I do not think ANYONE should ever murder in Jesus's name.
But it happens all the time. Not so with Jimi Hendrix.
If anyone has refuting evidence, I will gladly listen.
Jimi Hendrix is on his own celestial plane. Thank God!
