When did we become so divided.

We have enough food and water provided.

Though for sure there are those who are suffering. 

We do not need to be always fighting.

There are forces trying to pull us apart. 

In the great state of Michigan.

The best state in the midwest.

I must profess.

Michigan I am proud to call my home.

I am sure I am not alone.

Only when we get rid of the hate.

Can we truly be great.

Let us start at square one.

We all love Michigan.

Forget the distraction.

We have one direction.

 

It's so good for the country that Donald Trump lost.

It will take years and years to UN-do the cost.

Our nation was divided even before.

But he ramped it up to whatever suited him more.

He fomented hate to those were hurting.

That he did not actually care was the worst thing.

His legacy is a shit stain on democracy.

That so many were fooled is appalling.

He still won't even admit defeat.

 Makes all Republican phonies kiss his feet.

So many people across the globe breathed a sigh of relief.

That we vanquished that monster who had no belief.

Donald Trump influenced so many,

Though his actual convictions are petty.

The wolf in sheep's clothing.

Deep down full of self-loathing.

There ain't no four leaf clover.

I'll stop caring about abuse of power.

Makes me so nervous.

This guy wants to put his enemies in jail.

Our democracy long since derailed.

I am baffled by those who follow him.

Literally to him everyone is a victim.

I will be appalled.
